As far the rainfall performance in the state of Maharashtra goes, Vidarbha in this season has stood out to be the best region. As of now the actual rainfall for Vidarbha stands at 557.6 mm while the normal rainfall stands at 399.4 mm. This figure has made the rainfall percentage of the state to stand out among the region.
At 40% rainfall surplus, Vidarbha is way above than its other region of the state. Madhya Maharashtra is rainfall surplus by 16%, whereas Marathwada and Konkan & Goa stand firmly at 25% and 23% respectively.
As far as the current weather systems in the region is concerned, there happen to be a strong cyclonic circulation over West Madhya Pradesh. And this weather system happen to move towards north of the Central India towards West.
But due to its slow movement, the weather system is likely to give rains over Vidarbha and adjoining South Madhya Pradesh. This rainfall over the region is expected to last for the next 48 hours. The intensity of the rains is expected to be moderate.
