Bengaluru to witness good rains for the next few days

The capital city of Karnataka, Bengaluru has merely recorded any few spells of Monsoon showers during the last 24 hours. In fact, the coastal parts of Karnataka have also been witnessing light rains. Whereas the interior parts of Karnataka have been observing scattered rains. Although, comfortable weather conditions prevailed over the entire state.

In a span of last 24 hours from 8:30 am on Saturday, Gadag recorded light rainfall of 11 mm, followed by Agumbe 1.2 mm and Belagavi 1 mm.

As per weathermen at Skymet Weather, a trough is seen extending from Odisha Coast up to Tamil Nadu Coast. Also, this weather system is likely to shift further westwards.

Due to this movement, light to moderate rain and thundershower activities are likely over several places in Karnataka including Bengaluru during the next two to three days.

The intensity of these rains is expected to increase further during the next 24 hours. However, many places in coastal Karnataka will witness moderate rains during the similar time period.

In the meantime, comfortable weather conditions are expected to prevail over the entire state. Though the chances of humidity levels are likely to increase in the next couple of days.

As on September 23, the sub-divisional rainfall distribution statistics show that Karnataka is rain deficient by 10% and Bengaluru is rain surplus by 31%.
