The month of September has been good enough for the city of Bengaluru. So much so that the city has witnessed at least four spells of heavy rains. Not only this, the city has also recorded light to moderate rains on various occasions.
Heavy rains of over 65 mm were also recorded in Bengaluru on two separate occasions, on September 8 and 9. However, the last 48 hours have been dry for the capital city of Karnataka. Both the observatories including the city as well as the airport have been dry for the capital city.

The reason for the reduction in these rains is that a trough was passing through South Interior Karnataka which was responsible for giving heavy rains two days ago, has now shifted towards West Coast over Southeast Arabian sea resulting in almost dry weather conditions.
