October 25, 2017 12:02 PM | Skymet Weather Team

Rains in Bengaluru have not occurred from almost a week now due to which the city is reeling under dry and warm days. Though, a few light to moderate rains occurred at the stations of coastal and North Interior Karnataka, the southern districts of the state including the capital city Bengaluru mainly remained dry.

It is due to these rains that the temperature profile over the regions receiving rains have enhanced and most of the coastal and north interior stations of Karnataka have managed to witness pleasant weather.

As per Skymet Weather, these rains were due to a cyclonic circulation which is over the southeast Arabian Sea off the South Karnataka and Kerala coast. In the wake of this weather system, good rains further expected to continue over many parts of Karnataka.

Consecutively, the districts lying over the South Interior Karnataka region including the state capital, Bengaluru may also get to witness some rain and thundershowers. These rains are expected to continue for another 2-3 days.
