After lashing the city with heavy showers, Bengaluru rains are now all set to reduce. In fact, the city remained dry during the last 24 hours.

A trough had been persisting from Madhya Maharashtra to South Interior Karnataka, which had kept the Monsoon vigorous over South Interior Karnataka. This had given heavy rainfall on Friday and Saturday to the tune of 68 mm and 66 mm, respectively.

However, now, this trough has shifted westwards. Due to this, Monsoon rains have reduced over the city. But as the city still lies in the vicinity of trough, on and off short spells of rains would continue for the next few days over the state capital.
