Rains have remained absent from showing upon Bengaluru city since the second week of October. Apart from a few rainy days that occurred until October 14, mainly the month has not recorded any good showers. Though some rainy traces were recorded the day before, these rainy spells were also observed after an elongated dry spell.
Talking about the other parts of Karnataka, almost similar weather conditions have prevailed but the last 24 hours proved to be rainy for some of the stations. These rains were mainly confined to the districts lying along the coastal belt and a few stations of South Karnataka.

In the span of 24 hours from 08:30 am as on Friday, Mysuru recorded 56 mm of good rains, Mangaluru 25.5 mm, and Mandya recorded 20 mm of rains. The capital city, on the other hand, failed to record any showers.

As per Skymet Weather, a cyclonic circulation over the south-central Bay of Bengal is now seen over Southwest Bay. A trough from this system is extending to South Arabian Sea across South Kerala and Tamil Nadu.
Though Northeast Monsoon has already commenced in most parts of Tamil Nadu, Kerala and the southern parts of Andhra Pradesh, rains are likely to take some more hours to get activated over the state of Karnataka. As of now, partly cloudy sky along with some light rainy traces are expected to occur in most parts of South and south coastal Karnataka.
However, some good rainy spells over most parts of the state are not anticipated until October 31. The weather over Bengaluru will remain pleasing with comfortable afternoons and pleasant morning and nights
