Ever since Southwest Monsoon made an onset over Kerala, rains poured over the state along with showering upon the adjoining Karnataka as well. The fag end of May not only marked the arrival of Monsoon over Kerala but also lashed Bengaluru with some good rains.

Not only did Bengaluru surpassed its monthly mean, but also saw pleasant weather with the maximums plunging as well. However, the arrival of June bought dry spell with it for Bengaluru.

As per Skymet Weather, a trough persisted over Coastal Karnataka which was why districts of Coastal Karnataka along with a few interior regions of the state including Bengaluru observed good rains. However, now this trough has shifted over the Kerala coast and hence the rains are likely to take a backseat over Bengaluru.

Though chances of isolated rains cannot be completely ruled out, but the possibility of heavy showers as of now are not anticipated. Moreover, as Monsoon is advancing, it is likely to cover Karnataka possibly in the next two to three days. That time, good rains are once again expected to show up over Bengaluru.

Till the time the ‘IT Hub’ of the country does not witness rains, mercury levels will also scale up marginally.
