Active Monsoon has brought some heavy rains and pleasant weather for the Silicon Valley of India. Bengaluru has witnessed heavy showers to the tune of 53 mm during the last 24 hours from 8:30 am on Sunday. And the good news is that these showers are here to stay.

According to Skymet Weather, presently a cyclonic circulation is marked over north coastal parts of Andhra Pradesh and along with it, we expect a north-south trough to develop across Interior Karnataka.

With the interaction of these two weather systems, on and off rain and thundershowers would continue over Bengaluru for at least the next two to three days. There are also prospects of moderate spells in parts of the city.

As per weathermen, days will remain pleasant with cool morning and nights. The sky conditions are also expected to remain cloudy.

Generally, September is considered as the rainiest month for the IT hub with an average rainfall of 212.8 mm. So far, the city has managed to record168.5 mm. But with more showers in the offing, chances are high that Bengaluru would be soon able to reach the monthly mean.

As for the entire state of Karnataka, it has been witnessing on and off good rain and thundershowers, particularly the north interior districts for the past one week. Now also, we expect somewhat similar weather conditions that are scattered rains to continue over the interior parts of Karnataka. Rainfall would not be widespread but patchy in nature that may reduce the rain deficiency of North Interior Karnataka to some extent.

North Interior Karnataka had been battling high rainfall deficiency and with these rains, the region has managed to improve its deficiency status. But still, the region is deficient by 30%.
