Bengaluru has been receiving isolated Monsoon rains since last one month. However, Monsoon has once again become active over the city, giving moderate spells over the city during the past 24 hours. The city has recorded 11 mm of rain in span of 24 hours from 8:30 am on Wednesday.
According to Skymet Weather, a feeble off shore trough is persisting from South Maharashtra to coastal Kerala. Strong westerly winds from Arabian Sea are also blowing all along the West Coast.
Although intensity of rains is heavy to very heavy over coastal areas, but moisture laden winds are reaching up to South Interior Karnataka including Bengaluru due to which scattered rains are going on.
Further, weathermen are predicting more light to moderate Monsoon rains and thundershowers over Bengaluru during the next 24 hours. Thereafter, weather is most likely to go dry again, but isolated light and patchy rains would go on.
Sky would remain partly cloudy in spite of decreased rain. In wake of these ongoing rains, days would be pleasant as day temperatures would hover around 25°C or 26°C. Meanwhile, nights would be cool with minimum temperatures hovering around 19°C -20°C.
