In span of 48 hours from 8:30 am on Wednesday, the state capital has recorded 30 mm of rain (Thursday-20 mm and Wednesday- 10 mm).
Now, the conditions are still favourable for more rains to lash Bengaluru on Friday as well. According to Skymet Weather, the trough continues to extend from Coastal Odisha till Comorin region across Interior Karnataka.
The trough has been infusing moisture over the city, due to which the weather at present is partly cloudy. Now, as the mercury peaks during the afternoon, it leads to formation of convective clouds over the city during the late afternoon or evening. This the typical feature of pre-Monsoon season.
Thus, today also, we can expect some good rain and thundershowers along with thunderstorm and squally winds by late evening. However, these showers will be of shorter duration and not as intense as during the last two days.
