These rainfall activities have been attributed to the presence of a trough which has been running from Karnataka to Interior Tamil Nadu. Along with thus, wind discontinuity is also seen over the region. Moreover, the anti-cyclone over Central Bay of Bengal has also been feeding moisture over the region.

As per weathermen at Skymet Weather, these weather systems are expected to continue giving rains over the city of Bengaluru for the next 24 to 48 hours as well. These rains are expected to not be as intense.

As far as the temperatures are concerned, both the maximum as well as the minimum temperatures are settling close to their normal levels. In fact, yesterday, the maximum temperature in Bengaluru settled at 33.8 degrees which is normal while the minimum today was recorded at 22 degrees which is a notch above the normal levels.
