Bengaluru rains revive after very long, more showers ahead

The city of Bengaluru has seen mostly dry weather conditions in the month of August. Moreover, Bengaluru ended with 12 mm of rains in August making it one of the lowest recorded rains. The normal rains for August settles at 162.7 mm in August thus, there has not even been one-tenth of the rainfall.

However, rains have picked up and the city of Bengaluru recorded a whopping 89 mm of rains between 8:30 am yesterday and 8:30 am today. Heavy rains were seen in association with the trough extending from South Interior Karnataka to Comorin, which remained active. Neighbouring areas have also seen good rainfall activities.

September happens to be the rainiest month for Bengaluru with the city seeing 208.3 mm of rains. We do expect some more rain for the city for the next two days which may be moderate to heavy in nature. Most rains will be seen during the evening and night. Thereafter, the trough will shift away from the location thereafter.
