Bengaluru, Mangalore, Karwar to continue with Light Monsoon showers

Bengaluru has been recording good rains from the past few days. These rains are due to the active off shore trough which is extending from South Gujarat to Kerala Coast.

In the last 24 hours from 8.30 am on Friday, Bengaluru recorded light rain of 0.2 mm of rain. In the same span of time, heavy rain of 71 mm was recorded in Honnavar. Karwar also witnessed 22.4 mm of moderate intensity rain, Ballari 23.6 mm, Mangalore 9.3 mm, Vijaypura 14.0 mm, Raichur 8 mm and Gadag 15.6 mm, Agumbe 6 mm, Kalaburgi 5.5 mm and Madikeri 1 mm of rain.

As per Skymet Weather, the off shore trough running along the West Coast from South Gujarat to Kerala is becoming active. It is anticipated that scattered light to moderate rains will continue over Karnataka including Bengaluru. The rainfall activity may pace up more along the regions of Coastal Karnataka The sky will remain cloudy and overcast.

The weather conditions have already become pleasant across the state including Bengaluru due to these good rains. The maximum temperature is likely to remain around 20 °C and the minimum temperatures will be recorded around 19 to 20 °C. The entire state of Karnataka has witnessed good rains and these rainfall activities will continue for the next few hours due to the persistent weather systems.
