These rains can be attributed to a trough which is extending from South Konkan to Southeast Arabian Sea across Coastal Karnataka and a feeble cyclonic circulation, which is over coastal Karnataka. Due to rain and cloud cover over the state, the day temperatures dipped over many parts of the state making the weather pleasant.
As per Skymet Weather, isolated light rains are likely to continue over South Interior Karnataka today as well. However, the weather over the northern parts of the state will be dry. Thus, cities including Bengaluru, Hassan and Mangalore may record isolated light rains today.
As the clouds have moved away from the northern parts, the maximums are likely to rise making the weather warm during the day once again. In fact, after 24 hours, entire Karnataka will witness dry weather conditions as the cloud cover is expected to clear up over the state.
