Bangalore rains have been lashing the silicon city during the past few days. June begun on a rainy note for the capital city of Karnataka with 20 mm of rain being recorded on the first day of the month itself. On and off rains have kept the temperatures under check.

While the city remained dry on June 4, light rains were recorded yesterday. During the last 24 hours from 8:30 am on Sunday, Bangalore observatory recorded 7 mm of rain. These rains begun to lash the state capital during the late afternoon, ushering in more pleasant weather conditions for Bangalore.

A cyclonic circulation is currently over Telangana and adjoining Marathwada. Also, a trough is extending from Rajasthan across Madhya Pradesh up to Rayalaseema. Moist winds from the Arabian Sea have also been resulting in some moisture incursion over the region. The combination of these weather features have resulted in rains over Bangalore.

Now, during the next few days, Bangalore will continue to receive on and off light rains. In fact, on some occasions, isolated pockets of the city may also receive heavy rains. This weather activity will persist until Monsoon 2016 makes its onset over the garden city.

Now, temperatures will also remain under check and the scorching summer heat will stay far away from Bangalore. In fact, Bangalore will continue to boast its pleasant weather crown which was lost when the scorching summer heat in April made the city miserable.
