After remaining dry for around two days, Bangalore rains have once again made a comeback. The capital city of Karnataka welcomed the rains with open arms as widespread light rain lashed the city on May 27.
During the last 24 hours from 8:30 am on Friday, Bangalore observatory recorded 7 mm of rain. Also, light rain was observed over other areas as well with Bangalore airport recording 3.8 mm of rainfall during this period.
These rains can be attributed to the feeble trough which is running along Coastal Karnataka and Kerala. Moist winds from the sea have also increased the moisture incursion over the area resulting in these rains.
Now, Bangalore will continue to receive on and off rains during the next few days. Before Southwest Monsoon makes an onset over the silicon city, on and off showers will continue to keep the temperatures under check.
In fact, the maximum temperature was settling at 33.8 degree Celsius on May 26. However, due to a rainy spell, the mercury dropped by one degree and is currently settling at 32.6 degrees. Hot weather conditions that were wreaking havoc over the garden city have bid adieu to Bangalore. Now, Bangalore is on its way of becoming the pleasant weather city once again.
