While the Bangalore observatory recorded a mere 20 mm of rain, several other areas received heavy rains. Strong winds accompanied by rains also resulted in the uprooting of many trees and electric poles over some areas. Also, waterlogging was witnessed over many parts of the city with houses being flooded in low lying areas.

Currently, Monsoon surge is active over Kerala and some parts of Coastal Karnataka as well. Also, a cyclonic circulation is over Southwest Bay of Bengal and adjoining Andhra Pradesh.
