Bangalore continues to record maximum temperature of 35°C and above for the second consecutive day. With these above normal temperatures, day continues to be uncomfortably hot. Nights are no different and have been warm too, with the minimum temperatures hovering around 19°C.
On Thursday, the garden city recorded day maximum at 35°C, which was three degrees above normal, while the night temperatures settled at 19.7°C that was also two degrees above normal.
Further, we do not expect any respite from the warm weather at least for the next two days.
These ongoing warm weather conditions can be attributed to the warm inland winds that have been blowing uninterruptedly over the city for the last many days.
After the next 48 hours, there will be change in the wind pattern, wherein these warm winds will be replaced by relatively cool easterly winds.
With this, mercury will take a dip, wherein minimum temperatures will settle near normal but day maximums will be marginally above normal.
Bangalore is famous for pleasant weather conditions round the year. However, during the last couple of years, it is seen that temperatures have been settling on the higher side. This has put the ‘pleasant city’ title in danger.
