Bangalore weather was hot and dry throughout April. However, since the beginning of the month of May, things have gotten better for blistering Bangalore. In fact, Bangalore may just end up keeping the pleasant weather crown for quite some time.
The silicon city of India has been receiving on and off rains for the past few days. While these rains were isolated and light in nature during the first two to three days of May, weather gods decided to bestow some kindness in the form of heavy rains.
So much so that the city recorded 44 mm of rain in just a span of 3 hours on May 6. During that period, temperatures dropped significantly and came down to a good 22 degrees. Currently, the maximum in Bangalore settles at 33.7 degrees which is just 0.4 degrees below the normal levels.
Wait, the good news doesn’t end here. In fact, Bangalore may receive some more rain during the late afternoon/evening hours today. The wind discontinuity, which is a semi-permanent feature during the Pre-Monsoon season is currently running across Interior Karnataka.
Thus, there are chances of thunderstorm and thundershower activity during the late evening hours. These conditions will remain the same for the next two days. On and off thundershower activity is likely to continue over Bangalore until May 10.
Thus, evenings will remain pleasant for the next few days. Also, maximums may witness a further drop. Bangalore weather may remain comfortable for at least some more time.
