Many parts ofUttar Pradesh, Bihar and Jharkhand are reeling under the spell of dense fog for a very long time now. Today morning, the visibility dropped to nil in many areas of Gorakhpur, Lucknow witnessed visibility of a mere 50 meters. Amritsar in Punjab is another pocket to witness zero visibility.

In the wake of this, 54 trains are delayed this morning which were supposed to reach Delhi.
Due to localized weather phenomenon, many parts of Bangalore witnessed a foggy morning. This foggy situation is most likely to shed off as the day progresses.

Shallow to moderate fog was witnessed over many different areas as well. Agartala in Tripura witnessed a foggy morning with visibility dropping to 50 meters where as in the plains; Patna witnessed a foggy morning wherein the visibility dropped to a mere 100 meters. In West Uttar Pradesh the story is no different; Agra saw a foggy morning with a visibility of mere 200 meters.
It is highly unlikely that the fog situation over Eastern parts and plains of the country will better any time soon.
