Bangalore weather has only been disappointing during the last few days.
Not only has it been unbearably hot due to the absence of rain, but the silicon city has also set a new record as far as high temperatures are concerned.
Now, Bangalore has recorded its maximum as 37.8 degree Celsius, which happens to be the highest in a decade.
Before this, the temperature had touched 37.5 degrees on April 16, but it was still a notch less than the hottest day in the last ten years.
The average maximum for Bangalore during the month of April is 34.1 degree Celsius, but usually, temperatures do not go as high as 37 degree Celsius. This year, conditions have worsened. Since April 11, maximums have been hovering between 36 and 37 degrees.
The record for the highest maximum stands at 38.3 degree Celsius, which has been registered on April 30, 1931. This maximum is a mere 0.5 degrees below the temperature recorded yesterday.
Thus, if the situation persists, Bangalore may be able to surpass the record soon. And with 12 more days left in April, it seems like a 70-year record may just be broken.
While a trough is extending from Maharashtra to South Tamil Nadu across Interior Karnataka, rains have remained absent in Bangalore due to insufficient moisture.
Thus, rain is highly unlikely in Bangalore, which may make the situation even worse. The once pleasant Bangalore weather is officially hot now.
