Bangalore weather has not been on its best behavior for the past few days. Rains have not made a significant appearance, and the mercury is only increasing each day. While we may have thought that soon Bangalore may end up getting its pleasant weather crown back, but it seems like there is trouble in paradise.
Now, the city with not so nice weather has broken all records. Believe it or not, the silicon city has become even hotter. On April 24, Bangalore recorded 39.2 degrees as its maximum which is 5 degrees above normal. So much so that the record of 38.3 degrees has been surpassed.
The worst part is that the 38.3°C record was set on April 30, 1931. This means that an 85-year-old heat record has been broken by Bangalore. The year 2016 has not brought any good news for the residents of Bangalore as far as weather is concerned.
Temperatures may witness a slight rise even further during the next 48 hours. While light thunderstorm is expected today over isolated pockets, this weather event will provide no relief from the present conditions. Also, temperatures may witness a further rise between April 27 and 30.
Pre-Monsoon showers will only make an appearance during the first week of May. Till then, Bangalore will continue to broil with extremely high maximums.
