Bangalore rains have so far been keeping the temperatures below the normal levels. June began on a rainy note for the silicon city of India resulting in a decrease in the maximum from 33.3 degrees to a good 27.8 degree Celsius.

The city had been extremely hot during the month of April as rain gods refused to even glance at the capital city of Karnataka. So much so that the city recorded a whopping 39 degrees as its maximum making it the hottest ever in April.

As the month of May began, rains brought some relief over the city. Bangalore also surpassed its monthly average rainfall for the month of May. Temperatures also remained under check during May giving the residents that much needed relief.

Now, as the month of June has also begun on a rainy note, Bangalore can finally show off its pleasant weather crown as cities like Delhi have been reeling under extremely hot weather conditions. During the last 24 hours from 8:30 am on Friday, Bangalore observatory recorded 5 mm of rain.

However, many areas of the city reported heavy rain and thundershowers. In fact, residents of the city also complained of traffic snarls and water logging in several parts. Now, on and off rains will continue over Bangalore until Monsoon makes an onset over the city.
