At 40.4 degrees, Hyderabad reels under scorching summer heatIt seems like weather gods have decided to spare no city this season. Almost the entire country barring the northeast, has been observing extremely hot weather conditions. March has only ended and the scorching summer heat is making life unbearable for many.

One of the worst affected regions in terms of hot weather is the Southern Peninsula. In fact, maximum temperatures are easily touching the 40-degree mark in many parts of the region. States of Andhra Pradesh, Telangana along with a few areas in Karnataka are withstanding the worst of the summer heat.

Hyderabad, the city of nizams is one such city where weather conditions have remained unbearable for quite some time now. In fact, for the past two days, the maximums have even been crossing the 40-degree mark.

While the city recorded 40.5 degrees a day before, the maximum settled at 40.4 degrees yesterday. These temperatures are at least three degrees above the normal levels. The minimum temperature is also settling two notches above the usual levels.

Other areas in Telangana including Nizamabad where the maximum is settling at 41.7 degrees and Ramagundam where the maximum is at 40 degrees are also witnessing the scorching summer heat.

The reason for these weather conditions over the Biryani city and its adjoining areas can be attributed to hot and humid south-southwesterly winds blowing from the Bay of Bengal.

As per weathermen at Skymet Weather, these weather conditions are expected to remain the same for the next few days. IN fact, the possibility of further rise in the maximum temperatures over the region cannot be ruled out.
