The pleasant weather crown of Bengaluru seems to be slipping away from Bengaluru. While the first four to five days of the month of March were pleasant enough, there have been several occasions where the maximums in Bengaluru have been just a notch below the 35-degree mark.
As far as rain gods are concerned, they have been kind enough over the garden city giving Bengaluru at least 30 mm more rain than it usually witnesses during the month of March. So far Bengaluru has recorded 48 mm of rainfall against its monthly average of 18.5 mm.
Temperature wise, the last 48 hours have been on the higher side for the city. While the maximum settled at 35 degrees on March 18, an increase of a notch was observed yesterday with the maximum settling at a whopping 36 degrees.
Usually, the maximum settles at around 33 degrees, which means a rise of three degree Celsius has been recorded. Not only this, the 36 degrees figure is the highest maximum observed by Bengaluru this season. In the coming days, the day temperatures will only witness a rise.
It seems like during the summertime this year, Bengaluru won’t be the go to destination for the ones who look for some pleasant weather away from the scorching conditions.
