At 29.8 degrees, Delhi records highest maximum of season, second highest in last 5 years

Both maximum and minimum temperatures have been on the rise or Delhi and the NCR region. Maximum temperatures in particular have seen a rise and have been settling at least 4 to 5 degrees above normal.

Today, Delhi has seen the maximum at 29.8 degrees, which is the second-highest maximum in february in the last five years and also six degrees above the normal levels. The highest maximum has been recorded for February between 2019 and 2023 is in 2021 where the maximum temperature was at 33.2 degrees.

Last year, the highest maximum in february was at 28.4 degrees Celsius, 27.8 degrees Celsius in 2020 and 28.1 degrees Celsius in 2019.

Clouding may be seen around February 19 and on and off thick patches may be seen, however, rains will not be seen. There is an outside chance of some rainfall activity around the fag end of the month, which may bring some twist in the weather activities. Nevertheless, we do not expect any rain before February 25, thus, we can expect dry spell to continue until a week from now.
