Assam floods have once again made a comeback as moderate to heavy rains have been lashing many parts of the state. Rains have once again revived with a bang over the state of Assam due to the shifting of the axis of the Monsoon trough towards the foothills due to which moisture incursion has been taking place over the region.

In fact, a cyclonic circulation has also been persisting over eastern parts of Bihar while a trough is extending from the system. The last 24 hours saw some rains including North Lakhimpur 22.4 mm, Goalpara 30.8 mm, Dhubri 25.6 mm, Dibrugarh 9.6 mm, Silchar 6 mm, Tinsukia 13 mm.
