During last 24 hours, Meghalaya has received very heavy rains. But intensity has marginally decreased over rest of northeastern states comparatively. As per Skymet Weather, we expect rains to decrease further after 24 hours. Due to the decrease in intensity of rains we expect flood situations in the various districts of Assam to improve.

There will be a significant relief from ongoing heavy rains over rest northeastern states also. Though scattered light rain with few heavy spells will continue but heavy to extremely heavy rains will not occur for next few days.
