As all the matches in the tournament are going to be Day and Night our meteorologists say that the dew factor could play a crucial role in the match especially during the second innings as the humidity levels would be high during evening hours and teams would prefer chasing a total than defending it.
The first match between Sri Lanka and Pakistan in Fatullah on the outskirts of capital Dhaka will witness clear weather conditions with maximum temperature hovering in the mid tewenties. Last edition winner India will be up against host Bangladesh in the second match of the tournament on Wednesday, 26th February on the same venue. Latest weather update by Skymet's Meteorology Division suggest that Dhaka is not expected to witness rain during the first two days of the tournament.
But due to some weather changes expected to take place in West Bengal in India from Thursday onwards, the weather in Dhaka may turn partly cloudy with chances of light rain by Friday when India will play its second match of the tournament against Sri Lanka. The Indian cricket team will play against arch rival Pakistan at Shere Bangla Stadium in Mirpur on 2nd March.
