Occasional rain is being observed in the city of Mumbai for more than a week now. As compared to the previous week, these rains are much lighter in intensity providing huge relief to the people from flooding rains. The temperatures have also shown an increasing trend and are being recorded around 31 degrees Celsius.
At present, there is no significant weather system over North Konkan and Goa. Therefore, we do not expect any increase in rain activities over Mumbai and suburbs. However, occasional patchy light rains will continue. Temperatures will not rise much now. Weather will remain warm and humid.
This light rain will be experienced in parts of Mumbai and suburbs. However, one or two short intense spells of rain cannot be ruled out.
Thus, there is no threat of flooding or waterlogging in Mumbai for at least the next one week from now.
The Monsoon surge has also weakened over entire Konkan and Goa. Therefore, rains will reduce from the region.
