As Monsoon nears Hyderabad, intermittent rains to continue

Since the last few days, the state of Telangana and its capital city, Hyderabad are observing scattered rain and thundershower activities. So much so that the temperatures that were soaring beyond 40-degree mark have come down, resulting in comfortable weather conditions.

In fact, isolated heavy spells have also occurred over the region. Districts like Nizamabad recorded 49 mm of heavy rainfall, while light rains were recorded over Hanamkonda that recorded 13 mm and Ramagundam 2.6 mm. The rain intensity remained very light over the City of Nizams.

Now, as per Skymet Weather, scattered light to moderate showers are expected to continue over the state, however, the intensity of these showers will remain at the lower end over Hyderabad for next few days. These rains will not be all over the city it will be in patches which will be the typical pattern of pre-Monsoon rains.

We can say that Southwest Monsoon is at halt for Hyderabad and the normal onset date over Hyderabad is between June 10 and 12.

By this time, Monsoon hits the city but as per Weathermen it may take some more days to make an advent over the Biryani city. As of now, on and off showers will continue over the city of Hyderabad.
