In the wake of Monsoon inching closer heavy rains are set to lash the states of Kerala and Karnataka anytime soon. According to weather models observed, Bengaluru is all set to receive some good amounts of rain.
This year, the pre-Monsoon season fared pretty well for the city of Bengaluru as good amounts of rain have been observed during this period. In fact, continuous showers are being witnessed for the last one week with short breaks in between.
At present, the weather in Bengaluru is very comfortable. In the last 24 hours from 8.30 am on Thursday, Bengaluru received 20 mm of rain.
The monthly average rainfall for the month of June is 89 mm, whereas, until June 7, Bengaluru has already received a whopping 63 mm of rain. Now, we expect moderate to heavy rains to occur over South Interior Karnataka including Bengaluru for the next 24 to 48 hours. This brightens up the chance for Bengaluru surpassing its monthly average rainfall figure before June 15 itself.
Thereafter (June 15), on and off rains will continue after the onset of Monsoon. The weather will remain cloudy to overcast most of the time. Mornings and nights will be cool and comfortable.
