After enjoying some comfortable weather for last few days, Delhi is now gearing up for some hotter days ahead.
Both day and night temperatures are already showing a rising trend. And with this, we expect April to end on a dry and hotter note.
On Tuesday, Palam Observatory witnessed maximum temperature at 42.2°C and minimum temperature at 24.4°C. While, Safdarjung Observatory recorded day maximum at 40.3°C and night temperature at 22.2°C.
According to Skymet, mercury will start soaring once again as no significant spell of pre-Monsoon showers is in offing.
Though some clouding could be seen on Tuesday evening but it is also likely to clear away by night.
Prior to this, the passage of back-to-back Western Disturbances over the hills and induced cyclonic circulations had been affecting the wind pattern over the city. Though this did not give any weather but had kept temperatures under check.
From way too above normal, both day and temperatures had plunged below normal average.
However, all the affecting systems have now moved away paving way for dry and hot winds. Hence Skymet Weather predicts sunny days ahead, with day temperatures once again crossing 40-degree mark.
We could also see some moderate to strong winds blowing over Delhi during this time. Relief is only likely in the first week of May wherein Delhi could see some rain and thundershowers.
