The depression over Bay of Bengal has lashed Tamil Nadu as well as Chennai resulting in flooding rains and lot of chaos over the South Indian State. The system has now weakened into a low pressure area and will dissipate very soon.
Another system is trailing behind this and is expected to become a low pressure area over Andaman Sea and adjoining Sea anytime soon. Over the next three days, the system is expected to pick up and will intensify into a well marked low, thereafter becoming a depression coming closer to the Coast around November 15.
Thus, during the time when the system reaches coast, many parts of Andhra Pradesh including Ongole, Kavali, Machchilipatnam, Bapatla etc. may be seeing some heavy rains. Extreme northern coastal region of Tamil Nadu may also see some rainfall activity during this time. However, Tamil Nadu is expected to be spared from the fury of the upcoming depression.
Usually, whenever these systems form during Mid November, there are times that some of these do end up becoming storms since this period happens to be an active Cyclone season.
