The famous holy shrine, Vaishno Devi has been witnessing sporadic rain and thundershowers activities since the beginning of March. However, during last 24 hours, clear and dry weather was observed over the area.
As per Skymet Weather, the hilly states of North India are likely to witness another episode of rain and thundershowers. These approaching rains can be attributed to a fresh Western Disturbance that will affect the Western Himalayas by tomorrow night.
In wake of this, the area will observe cloudy sky conditions toward late afternoon hours which will be followed by light to moderate rain and thundershowers.
These weather conditions will continue over the area till March 23, thereafter the weather will once again go dry and clear. Thus, no significant weather activity is expected for the weekend. Devotees who are planning to visit the holy shrine can go ahead, as this weekend is the best time.
During the month of January and February, hefty sum of rain and snow have occurred over most parts of hilly region, including the holy shrine Vaishno Devi. These weather activities can be credited to back to back Western Disturbances that were affecting the Western Himalayas.
The frequency and intensity of Western Disturbance decreases in the month of March, but this year successive systems have affected the northern hills of Jammu and Kashmir, Himachal Pradesh and Uttarakhand. However the intensity of weather activities remained light to moderate.
