Another confirmed case of Coronavirus emerges in India as second special flight from Wuhan lands in Delhi

Just a few days, after India confirmed its first case of coronavirus in Kerala, the country woke up to the news of second confirmed patient of coronavirus today. As has been reported by ANI, the patient, with a travel history to China, has been kept in isolation in a hospital and is being closely monitored.

This accentuates the prevailing fears of the world-spread Coronavirus in India just after the deadly virus has killed more than 300 people, infected 14,562 others and spread to 25 countries, including India, US and UK.

The death toll in China due to the coronavirus has jumped to 304 with the number of cases climbing to 14,380, as per the country’s official reports.

As a matter of fact, a second batch of 323 stranded Indians and 7 Maldivian citizens were airlifted from China’s coronavirus-hit Wuhan city today. This brings about the total number of evacuations to 654. As per records, four Indians could not board the second flight after they reported high temperatures.

Foreign Minister of Maldives, Abdulla Shahid thanked Indian PM Narendra Modi airlifting 7 natives from virus-hit Wuhan. Upon arrival, they'll be housed in Delhi for a period of quarantine.

Meanwhile, India has temporarily suspended its e-visa facility for Chinese travellers and foreigners residing in China in view of the virulent coronavirus.
