Andhra Pradesh has been receiving good rains since last many days. During the last 24 hours also Coastal Andhra Pradesh as well as Rayalaseema have received moderate rains at many places.
The reason behind these rains is a Trough which is passing from North Odisha to Rayalaseema. This Trough will persist for the next few days with a slight oscillation from East to West. As a result, it will continue to affect Andhra Pradesh. Therefore, we expect moderate rains with one or two intense spells to continue over Coastal Andhra Pradesh as well as Rayalaseema.
We expect that these on and off rains will continue until the onset of Northeast Monsoon over the region. Gradually these rains will merge with Northeast Monsoon rains. So, we can say that the weather of Coastal Andhra Pradesh as well as Rayalaseema will not become dry until the onset of Northeast Monsoon over Odisha.
Till then, the weather will remain comfortable and temperatures are expected to remain marginally below normal in the coming days as well.
As of now, Rayalaseema is rain surplus whereas coastal Andhra Pradesh is deficient. These upcoming rains are sure to alter the rain figures.
