Andhra Pradesh has remained hot and dry since last week days as pre-Monsoon rains have remained far and few. Blame it all on the Cyclone Mora, which has taken all the moisture from the region. Prior to that, the coastal state was recording on and off pre-Monsoon rains.
Further, we expect dry weather conditions to continue for three to four days and pre-Monsoon rains will remain subdued over Rayalaseema as well as coastal Andhra Pradesh till June 4. We do not foresee development of any significant weather system over Andhra Pradesh.
However, Southwest Monsoon has made an onset over Kerala on May 30. With this, rains will now steadily pick up the pace along the East Coast by June 5. Normally by June 5, Monsoon reaches over most parts of Andhra Pradesh and lashes the state with good rains.

A cyclonic circulation is expected to develop over the Bay of Bengal of the Andhra Pradesh coast by June 5. By June 6-7, intensity of rain will increase over the entire Andhra Pradesh, settling conditions for arrival of Monsoon over Rayalaseema and coastal Andhra Pradesh during that time.
We expect good rains to continue over Andhra Pradesh during the entire second week of June, which will be very beneficial for the sowing of Kharif crop.
