The state of Andhra Pradesh has been receiving some good rainfall activity for the last 24 hours. Parts of north interior Karnataka and also seen some rainfall activity during this period. During the last 24 hours from 8:30 AM on Wednesday, Narsapur recorded 23 mm of rainfall, Nellore 19 mm, Visakhapatnam 14 mm, Nandyal 82 mm, Kurnool 23 mm, Kadapah 47 mm.
Rains will be more concentrated over North Interior Karnataka as far as the state of Karnataka is concerned. Andhra Pradesh may see some good rains through and through and most parts will be seeing showers.
These showers are seen because of the Cyclonic Circulation persisting over Bay of Bengal for the last two to three days. A trough is also extending from the system. Another east west trough is extending from Andaman and Nicobar islands to Coastal Andhra Pradesh.
Thus, rains over both Andhra Pradesh and north interior Karnataka is expected to continue for some time.
