Let’s have a look at the rainfall recorded by parts of Haryana and Punjab in the last 24 hours from 08:30 am on Tuesday:
As per Skymet Weather, the reason for these rains can be attributed to the Western Disturbance which is over Pakistan. A trough is also running from northwest Rajasthan and adjoining Punjab up to East India via Haryana.
The amalgamation of these weather systems led to rains over both the states. In fact, these rains have been occurring over the most parts of the state from past two to three days and are expected to continue. Thereafter, this trough is likely to shift towards the north thus resulting in decreasing the rain intensity over Haryana and South Punjab. However, foothills of Punjab will continue to witnesses scattered showers.
Thereafter a gap of two to three days, rain will once again pick up pace over both the states around June 26 and 27.
