The air quality index of most parts of Delhi was in the very poor category on November 21st. However, on the morning of November 22nd, it again slipped into the severe category in many parts. The air quality index of Anand Vihar was 405, Jahangirpuri 428, Major Dhyan Chand Stadium 404, and Dwarka Sector 8 was 403.

Many other parts of Delhi and NCR recorded air quality index between 300 and 400 which can be termed as very poor. Light winds are blowing from the west and Southwest direction, but they are not able to disperse the pollutants.

Two major weather factors such as moderate to strong winds from a particular direction and widespread rainfall can wipe out the pollution. Unfortunately, both weather parameters will not be available for at least the next week. The air quality index of Delhi and NCR will remain in the very poor category.

Wind speed may pick up pace from November 27 or 28 which may disperse the pollutants. So, we can say there may be some relief around end of the November.
