Air quality improves across Delhi, Anand Vihar most polluted

November 9, 2016 2:01 PM |

Delhi pollutionAs predicted by Skymet Weather, Delhi-NCR woke up to much cleaner air on Wednesday, with pollution levels dipping further.

The Air Quality Index (AQI) at R K Puram, that was at 544 on Tuesday, is now at 400. Similarly, AQI at New Delhi US Embassy is at 380 in comparison to 504 yesterday.

However, isolated places continue to witness smog. There has been not much change in pollution levels in Anand Vihar, making it the most polluted area in the national capital. AQI for the region stands at 696, putting it in ‘severe’ zone.

Weathermen predicted clear sky on Wednesday with bright sunshine in evening. All thanks to the speed of the westerly winds picking up the pace.

According to Skymet Weather, no changes are expected during the next 24 hours and we can expect clear weather conditions on Thursday as well. Though there has been drop in the pollution level, but the air quality is still in the hazardous zone.
