Ahmedabad to remain dry, isolated rain over Gujarat coast

The month of July has been quite rainy for the city of Ahmedabad. So much so that the city recorded a few heavy to very heavy spells of rainfall. Not only this, during the fourth week of July, the city did witness inundation and flood like conditions as well.

The month of August also began on a rainy note and the city did record a few spells of rainfall. However, these rains have not been as heavy as compared to the month of July. In fact, the city has not recorded rains in double digits throughout this month.

Now, rainfall activity has taken a backseat from Ahmedabad. In fact, during the last three days, the city has not even witnessed a single mm of rainfall. These weather conditions can be attributed to the absence of any weather systems over the region.

As far as the temperatures are concerned, both the maximum as well as the minimum temperatures are in the comfortable range. In fact, they continue to settle close to the normal levels. Also, rainfall will remain on the backseat over Ahmedabad during the next 24 to 48 hours.

As far as the coastal areas are concerned, light rainfall activity is expected over some parts. These weather conditions will be attributed to the presence of a cyclonic circulation which is persisting over the Kutch region.
