Ahmedabad to remain dry and warm

The month of February generally remains dry for Ahmedabad and as little as 0.8 mm of average rainfall is what the city experiences. In fact, looking at the last ten year’s data, barring the year 2013, the city has not seen any rains in February.

Ahmedabad is following a similar weather pattern and February has gone dry so far for the city. Talking about the temperature profile, against the average monthly maximum temperature of 30.8°C, the city has been constantly recording above normal maximums.

In the last 24 hours also, Ahmedabad’s daytime high rose three notches beyond the normal levels and settled at 33.5°C. The minimum temperature of Ahmedabad also settled a notch above the normal resting at 15.9°C.

Not only Ahmedabad, but the other cities of Gujarat are also reeling under dry and above normal maximums and minimums.

The weather of Kutch also remained very warm as districts such as Bhuj saw the maximums settling 6 degrees above the normal levels. Maximum temperatures of Deesa also settled 4 degrees beyond the normal followed by Naliya and Kandla with daytime high 3 degrees beyond the normal levels.

As per the weathermen at Skymet Weather, as of now also, any significant weather system is not expected over Gujarat. Therefore, dry weather is likely to prevail over most parts of Gujarat also including Ahmedabad.

Meanwhile, the stations lying along the coastal belt of the state are witnessing somewhat better weather conditions, the proximity of the coastal districts to sea is making the days humid and uneasy.
