For the last few days also, both the maximum and minimum temperatures are increasing significantly. In fact, the last 24 hours were the hottest of the season for the state wherein, most of the stations recorded the daytime high more than the 35-degree mark, even surpassing 37°C.

In fact, due to proximity to the Arabian Sea, the coastal stations of the state generally reel under humid and warm weather conditions during this time with the temperatures remaining under mid-30’s. However, this season, even the stations lying along the coastal belt of the state have also seen the mercury levels shooting up to the 38-degree mark, making it the hottest pocket in the country.
