Southwest Monsoon has made an onset over the coastal areas of Gujarat. In fact, the Northern Limit of Monsoon is currently passing through Valsad. Since last couple of days, the weather conditions over the city continue to remain dry and hot.
The last time when this city received moderate rain and thundershower activities was on June 9.
The interior parts of the state will have to wait a little more for Monsoon to make an onset.
As per Skymet Weather, there are possibilities of few isolated thunderstorm activities to occur over Ahmedabad during the next 24 hours. But after witnessing few spells of rain, the weather is expected again to go dry and relief from heat will also be marginal.
Thus, the temperatures are expected to rise marginally and reach 42 °C in coming days. In fact, these rainfall activities occur during the afternoon or late evening hours. The temperatures are expected to stay near normal but may become above normal by 2 to 3 degree.

However, Ahmedabad has to wait for another 4 to 5 days for Southwest Monsoon showers to make an onset over the city. Thereafter, scattered rainfall activities are expected to commence over Ahmedabad from June 20.
