A fresh earthquake measuring 5.7 on Richter scale hit Nepal on Saturday evening, around 5.05 pm. The epicentre of the quake was in Dolkha, around 88 km east of Kathmandu.
Tremors were felt in parts of Bihar, Jharkhand, Sikkim and West Bengal. Cities in West Bengal to feel the quake included Siliguri, Jalpaiguri and Malda. In Bihar, the tremblor was experienced in Madhubani, Kisanganj, East Champaran, Muzaffarpur, Munger and many other places.
This earthquake was an aftershock of the high intensity earthquake of 7.3 magnitude, which had hit Nepal on Tuesday, May 12, 2015.
