A feeble cyclonic Circulation over extreme southern parts of Sindh and coastal areas have given this spell of rain in Karachi and its adjoining areas. It is the extension of the same system that gave heavy rain in neighbouring Gujarat in India.
The weather in Karachi is now going to change. Rainfall activity is going to reduce with chances of only light rain in the next 24 hours. Thereafter, the weather will almost become dry.
However, being a coastal area cloudy skies will be a regular sight and winds will be strong blowing at 40 to 45 kmph.
Other places in Sindh too have recorded good rains. For instance, Shaheed Benazirabad recorded 28 mm of rain in 24 hours from 8.30 am on Tuesday, while 15 mm of rain was witnessed in Hyderabad. Sakrand and Badin recorded 11 mm and 3 mm of rain, respectively.
Rain in these places is also going to take a backseat due to lack of any weather system. Dry weather conditions may prevail.
