After recording highest maximum, mercury set to drop in Delhi

The latest weather update by Skymet Meteorology Division in India suggests possibility of rain in Delhi during evening hours today. The Western Disturbance over Jammu & Kashmir and the associated cyclonic circulation in the northwest plains will remain on the fringes of the national capital during the next few hours before moving out of the region in east-northeast direction. Some places are expected to observe thunderstorm during the period.

Good news for Delhiites is that the hot conditions prevailing in the city for the last couple of days when maximums have surged to higher thirties, will come down after the exit of these weather systems. Day temperatures may again fall back to near normal after recording 38°C on Sunday - the highest maximum of the season till now.

The minimum temperature on Monday was also recorded two notches above normal at 22°C. According to the latest weather update by Skymet Meteorology Division in India, minimum temperatures in Delhi will also drop marginally on Tuesday and Wednesday to hover around 19°C due to northerly to northwesterly winds.

The weather in Delhi will once again become pleasant during morning hours. Winds coming from the areas that have received good amount of rain in the past 24 hours will provide some comfort throughout the day.
