The city of Bengaluru has been known to experience whimsical weather. However, this time the condition in the IT city has astonished the people across India.
While in the past few days, Karnataka's capital city had got that much needed relief in the form of pre-Monsoon showers, but now, Bengalureans are witnessing one of its kind snowfalls that are sending shock waves across the country.
It is not that magical snowfall that made us rush to the hilly regions of the nation, but a toxic reaction to the chemicals in the city lakes. The Whitefield Main road of the Bengaluru is observing spurting white foam that is overflowing from Varthur Lake onto the lanes. Adding to the woes is the stenching foam that is severely affecting the traffic in the city.
While scientists are considering the reason for this as the increased flow of water to the lake for the fresh foam, ecologists are blaming the practice of dumping crude sewage and pollutants in the lakes.
Weathermen say that the reason of this is the discharge of factory chemicals and pollutants in the lakes. Further, due to heat, this produces foam that strong winds carry onto the streets.

However, whatsoever is the cause; this is not the first time that the residents have to face such a situation. The frothing has become a frequent problem in the Varthur Lake, and this is only increasing with each passing year.
